The Town’s contract water operations firm, Susquehanna Operational Services, will be flushing hydrants and water lines throughout town on Thursday, July 13 and Friday, July 14.

The lines will be flushed as a routine practice to remove scale build up and to ensure proper operation of the hydrants.

While the hydrants are being flushed, and for a short period after, you may experience discolored water entering your home. Please inspect your water before use and if discoloration is observed, allow your water fixtures to run until the discoloration disappears, usually about 5 minutes. Discolored water can possibly stain clothing during laundry cycles if the above precaution is not followed.
