It is with deep regret that we will be saying so long to Commissioner Hogie Schuster, as he and his wife Aleta move across the country to be closer to family.  Hogie has served our community well.  Always willing to listen, he welcomed different ideas and suggestions, and based his decisions on what would be best for Queenstown and her citizens.  We are glad to have had the opportunity to work with him, as well as know him as a friend. We will certainly miss Hogie and Aleta, but we wish them all the best as they move on to their next chapter.

As Commissioner Schuster’s term does not expire until November 2022, the remaining Commissioners will appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term.  Any qualified individual who wishes to be considered to fill the vacancy should submit their name to the Town Office no later than Friday, September 11, 2020.  The Commissioners anticipate making an appointment by the end of September.  Feel free to contact the Town Office with any questions.
