Queenstown residents – we need your help!

Make sure you are counted in the 2020 Census. The US Census is taken every 10 years and is used to determine the country’s current population.

Data from the Census is also used to determine funding available to local communities and municipalities like Queenstown, therefore it is important that all residents are counted!

Queenstown’s response rate in the 2010 Census was 73.1% Our current response rate for 2020 is now 65%. That is an 8.1% drop. We can do better!

The deadline for the 2020 Census has been extended to October 30 so there is still time to participate if you haven’t already done so and it can be done with a simple telephone call.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!   *****************

The Supreme Court has issued a ruling granting a stay of the order issued by a federal judge in California that had extended the Census deadline to October 31. This decision led to the Census Bureau releasing a statement on Tuesday evening announcing the end of the Census effective October 15th. While the Supreme Court’s decision allows for the underlying appeal to continue in the lower courts, at this point in time we should consider the deadline of October 15th to be final unless things change in the appeals process.

To be counted before the deadline just call 844-330-2020 (English) or 844-468-2020 (Spanish)
