UPDATE: The election for Queenstown Commissioner has been cancelled according to the guidelines stated in Resolution 18-106 which updated the Town Charter of Queenstown Section 19-21.2. “Cancellation of Election Where Seat is Uncontested”.
“In the event that the seat for Commissioner is uncontested and the time period for filing a certificate of nomination has expired to file as either an official candidate or as a write-in candidate, then the Town Clerk-Treasurer may cancel the election. If the election is canceled, the candidate running for the uncontested seat shall be declared elected and shall be sworn in as Commissioner.”
As a result, Mr. Schuster has been declared elected and will be sworn in at the next Commissioner’s meeting.
The election for Queenstown Commissioner will be held Monday, November 4, 2019 from 3 pm to 8 pm in the Town Office
- Deadline for nominations for Office of Town Commissioner is Friday, October 4, 2019 at 12:00 pm
- Last day to register to vote in the Town of Queenstown election is Friday, October 18, 2019
- Last day to apply for an absentee ballot is Monday, October 28, 2019
- Absentee ballots must be received by the Town Clerk-Treasurer no later than 4 pm on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019
